What this site is

Tinta Arena runs competitions of skill. Placement in every bracket is produced by player performance inside a game, measured against a stated metric published before entry. No outcome on this site is settled by a wheel, a card draw, a slot reel or any other chance mechanism.

That distinction is the whole basis on which we operate, and we hold it strictly. If a game in our rotation were found to determine results by chance, it would leave the rotation rather than have a prize attached to it.

Who may take part

You may enter a paid bracket only if all of the following are true.

• You are at least 18 years old.
• You are located somewhere that permits entry-fee competitions of skill. Rules differ between Australian states and territories and between countries, and it is your responsibility to know the position where you are.
• You are entering on your own behalf, using your own account, and you have not previously had an account closed by us for a fair-play breach.
• The payment method you use belongs to you.

We check eligibility at registration rather than at cashout. If a rule changes where you are, we would rather close entry for that location than keep taking entries we cannot honour.

Your account

One person, one account. You are responsible for keeping your credentials to yourself, and for everything done through your account while it is signed in. If you believe someone else has access, tell us immediately and we will suspend it while it is sorted out.

Account details must be accurate. A cashout goes to an identity that matches the account, so a name entered carelessly at registration becomes a real obstacle later. You can correct your details at any time; you cannot transfer an account, sell it, or lend it for a bracket you would rather somebody else played for you.

Entries, pools and prizes

Every bracket page states its entry amount, its field size and the exact split of the resulting pool before you commit anything. Once a bracket is full and the clock starts, entries are final: a prize pool cannot be recalculated part-way through without changing the terms other entrants agreed to.

Where a match cannot be completed for a technical reason on our side, entries for that match are returned in full. Where a player disconnects mid-match, the result stands as recorded unless the replay shows a platform fault.

If a bracket does not fill

A bracket that fails to reach its stated field size within its window is cancelled and every entry is returned. We do not quietly shrink the field and pay a smaller pool, because the field size is part of what you agreed to when you entered — beating five people is not the same achievement as beating nineteen.

Fair play

Automation of any kind, shared accounts, deliberate result manipulation between entrants, and creating additional accounts to enter a bracket you are already in are all breaches. Brackets are seeded from recent results specifically to make deliberate under-performance unprofitable.

Where we find a breach, the account is suspended, the affected results are voided and any balance derived from those results is withheld. Replays are kept precisely so that this decision rests on evidence rather than suspicion, and you may ask us to show you what the review was based on.

Also not allowed

• Interfering with the site, the game frames or another player's connection.
• Scraping bracket data at a rate that degrades the service for other people.
• Abusing staff or other entrants in the chat or in any message to us.
• Attempting to use the arena to move money rather than to compete.

Cashouts, balances and tax

You may request a cashout of a settled balance at any time. Requests are reviewed within about twenty-four hours on business days. The first cashout on an account includes a one-time identity check, which is a legal requirement rather than a discretionary hurdle.

We may hold a cashout while a fair-play review is open on the account. We will tell you when that happens and what the review concerns.

Dormant balances

A balance sitting untouched for twenty-four months, on an account we cannot reach at the address it was registered with, is treated as dormant. We will make a reasonable attempt to contact you before that point, and a dormant balance is still yours to claim afterwards — we are not going to absorb it quietly.

Tax is yours

Whether a prize is taxable depends on your circumstances and where you live, and we are not able to advise you on it. We do not withhold tax from a payout. Keep your own record of what you entered and what you received; your account history is available to you for that purpose.

Third-party game content

The games on this site are made and operated by third-party studios and are embedded from their own platforms. They remain the property of their creators, all trademarks belong to their respective owners, and their availability is outside our control. A title may leave the rotation at short notice if its provider withdraws it. Any bracket affected mid-flight is refunded in full.

Our own material — the site design, the bracket and ladder system, our text and our marks — belongs to us. You are welcome to quote or link to it; you are not welcome to reproduce it wholesale as your own product.

What we do not promise

The site is provided as it is. We do not promise uninterrupted availability, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including missed prize opportunities caused by an outage, your connection, or a third-party provider's downtime.

Nothing in these terms excludes rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot lawfully be excluded. Where our liability cannot be excluded but can be limited, it is limited to resupplying the service or refunding the entries affected.

Events outside anyone's control

Neither of us is in breach of these terms for a failure caused by something genuinely outside our control — a network-level outage, a provider withdrawing a game without notice, or a legal change that stops us operating in a location. Where that affects a bracket you paid into, the entry comes back.

Suspension and closure

You can close your account at any time; a settled balance is paid out before closure. We may suspend or close an account for a fair-play breach, for a failed eligibility check, or where we are legally required to. Where a closure is our decision and no breach is involved, any settled balance is returned to its source.

If you disagree with a decision

Raise it with us first, through the contact form, and say which match or decision you mean. A person will look at the stored replay and the account history and give you a reason. Most disputes end here, and several of our current rules exist because a player pushed back and turned out to be right.

If our answer does not resolve it, you keep every right you would otherwise have to take the matter to an external body or a court. Nothing in these terms asks you to waive that, and we do not require arbitration as a condition of entry.

The small print that still matters

• Severability. If one clause here is unenforceable, the rest continues to apply.
• No waiver. If we do not enforce something immediately, we have not given up the right to enforce it later.
• Assignment. You cannot transfer your rights under these terms; we may transfer ours if the business changes hands, and your balance and standing travel with you if that happens.
• Notices. We contact you at the email address on your account, so keep it current. Notices to us go through the contact form.
• Entire agreement. These terms, the privacy policy and the cookie policy are the whole of the agreement between us.

Governing law and changes

These terms are governed by the law of Australia. If we change them, the date below changes and material changes are posted on the home page for thirty days before they take effect. Continuing to enter brackets after that period means the revised terms apply.
